Hey^^. Sorry 'bout taking a while to reply...watched RENT, huh? I heard it was really good...In fact, it's showing in Singapore right now(they say it's "direct from New York"...I'm guessing, same one?). Not like I could watch it anyway, they gave it an R18 rating . Me, I've had my own share of fun...My classmates booked a chalet, we had a barbecue, and no one got drunk, so it went great^^.

Yea I don't know ANYTHING! I guess what I'm most curious about is like the lifestyle. Like I feel so stupid b/c I only know the US...since that's where I live. What does it look like? Like a city? Or like exoctic landscaping? What's the currency? Main spoken language? Wow....I sound SO dumb! Hehe ^.

Sorry I took a while to reply . Ok, I'll start with what you asked for...Lifestyle...hmmm...pretty modern, as in how every household has a tv and all the kids have cellphones...that kinda thing. Western influence is really big here, you can see it in pretty much every aspect of our lives( entertainment, fashion etc) so I think there's little chance of getting a culture shock . The country is mostly city, lots of high-rise buildings, nothing really exotic. Currency is Singapore dollars. The population is mostly Chinese, with Malays (like me^^) being the second largest group and Indians the third largest, and each group has their own language but most Singaporeans are English-educated so communicating with the locals shouldn't be a problem. The different races need English to communicate with each other anyway.

I realise that was not the detailed description you might have needed but as I said, I'm really bad at describing stuff . I'll try to come up with a better description but if you decide you'll need more than one source of info you could chat to other S'poreans on MT (there's a whole bunch of them) at MT-Singapore. I'm sure there'll be more than a few people there willing to tell you more obout our tiny island. I need to be going now, hope we'll talk again soon^^.
